The Techbikers completed their three-day ride from Paris to London on Sunday, 20 September 2014. Overall, the bikers have managed to raise up to £70,000 for the literacy charity Room To Read, exceeding their target. GLUE Studio founder and art director of Tech City News, Zarina Holmes, was part of the team that cycled to raise the funds.
The ride is over, but the drive is not for
Techbikers. There are still opportunities for you to sponsor a few of the Techbikers. Your money goes a long way into educating and discovering, we hope, the future cold fusion engineers, epidemiologists or social scientists somewhere in the world. After all, both the founder and the editor of GLUE are only one generation away from illiteracy. One became an Art Director, the other became a postgrad of Digital Anthropology at UCL. Miracles do happen, and a bike ride can change many things.
