The temperature is still a bit fresh for late May, but we are optimistic at GLUE. Bikeminded is rolling out several cool social events around London for cyclists this summer.

Blue Plaque Tour in association with The Festival of the Bicycle
When: Saturday 8 June 2013 & Saturday 14 September 2013. From 2pm -4pm.
Where: Meeting at Gloucester Road station 2pm.
Discover the secret lives of some of the Royal Borough of Kensington and Chelsea famous residents.The cycle tour will be delivered by John Bailey, a fully trained ‘Original Tour’ London Tour Guide, with experience of delivering music, bicycle, and Olympic tours across London. You will enjoy some racy stories about Oscar Wilde and bohemian artist Augustus John, as well as the tragedies that befell Mark Twain and George Eliot.

The Bikeminded Film Festival

At Bikeminded’s first cycling film festival, there will be a selection of highly entertaining short films from Bikeminded’s Cycle Shorts series, culminating in the festival finale feature film ‘Janapar’. It is about one man’s travels around the world on his bike. That’s fascinating in itself, but it’s also a life-affirming, incredibly moving story of life and love as one man travels across the globe in search of his cycling-focused destiny.
